Beginning July 1st, Club Nintendo Coin values will be changing quite drastically. First off, the Nintendo DS Lite will no longer be eligible to receive Coins, but will net users who register the system an extended warranty. There are also many changes happening to the value of games being registered, with values being raised or lowered.
To see a full list of what’s being altered, check out the Club Nintendo page.
I suggest to all if you have certain games sitting around waiting to be registered, consult with the chart to see whether or not you’ll be gaining more Coins if you wait until after July 1st.

Cool! Now I have to spend more money, so I can great Club Nintendo rewards, like shoelaces and folders! Thanks Nintendo!

While I share the annoyance at the lack of interesting rewards, they don’t have to offer anything at all for registering games. The other two (Sony/MS) certainly don’t.
True, but I wish it was on the same level as Japan and EU. I heard over there you can get OSTs and other cool useful items, and not just junk. Then again, it always seems like NoA is behind the others (NoJ & NoE)
Fully agree! Not sure why there is lag with NOA as of late, especially since it seems NOE gets more in the way of localized games.
According to the info from the site, you’ll actually be getting more coins for registering games…so they are increasing the value of 3DS games by 10 coins (from 30 to 40), and they are reducing the coins on post-play surveys from 10 to 5. This will actually work out better in the long run.
Correction: The reduced value is on the eShop games, but retail games will be worth more. Perhaps this is an adjustment for the download vs retail games that will be coming soon. The retail buyers will get more coins.
