Scott Moffitt, the Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Nintendo, confirmed to ABC News via interview that players who have purchased Virtual Console games on the Wii will be able to transfer their games to their Wii U console. Katsuya Eguchi, producer of the Animal Crossing series, also confirmed this during Nintendo’s developer roundtable. The specifics are still being worked out, since the Wii U has a login system different from the Wii, but Nintendo assures gamers that they will have a solution.
This is good news for me, as I grabbed quite a few Virtual Console games. I just hope Nintendo has a storage solution in mind.
