No Call Of Duty-Like Games From Nintendo

The Independent had a chance to talk with Nintendo company president Satoru Iwata recently. In the interview, Iwata talks about briefly about online and the success of Mario Kart, but that we shouldn’t expect a certain genre of games from the company:

But you shouldn’t be expecting Call of Duty-like games to be offered from Nintendo.

He also talks a bit about the Nintendo 3DS, mentioning that the 3D is here to stay in future handhelds, but that it won’t be quite the selling point as it was for the 3DS. For those who have complaints about the Nintendo 3DS XL lacking a 2nd analog, Iwata also defends their decision:

Attaching a second analogue stick is possible but it would have made the system even bigger and, though it perhaps puts a burden on people that really want that second stick, it’s a call we had to make and these people will have to live with it.

Head on over to The Independent for the lengthy interview.
