If you weren’t up at the crack of dawn this morning and/or live under a rock, here’s a brief summary of the huge news that Nintendo released today concerning Wii U.
- Launch day in US: November 18th (Sunday)
- Two packages, Basic Set, Deluxe Set
- Deluxe set will include enrollment into the “Deluxe Digital Promotion”; points for each digital download that they purchase
- Wii U branded Wii Remote/Nunchuks coming later
- Nintendo TVii shown, is a convergence of program watching applications (Netflix, Amazon, etc.)
- Bayonetta 2 exclusive to Wii U, published by Nintendo
- Project P-100 becomes The Wonderful 101
- Capcom will bring Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate to Wii U and 3DS. Wii U will have online play.
- Activision shows up and announces five titles for Wii U including: Skylanders Giants, Wipeout 3, 007 Legends, Transformers Prime The Game, and Call of Duty Black Op II
- Black Ops II demo shown, without split-screen. Instead one player uses GamePad, other uses TV.
- Epic Mickey is confirmed for Wii U
