The bill looked impressive starting out for Dragon Blade: Wrath of Fire; best-selling fantasy author Richard A. Knaak was brought in to develop an original storyline. When going to E3 and watching the game in motion it seemed to be coming along quite nicely, if a tad bit bland. Unfortunately the developer didn’t seem to address this concern.

Our Rating for Review: Dragon Blade: Wrath of Fire
5.0
Single Player
The story is somewhat creative, though the gameplay completely destroys any chance of fun this game has.

4.5
Controls
When they work they can be a blast, but generally can be frustrating when trying to time your attacks just right.
4.2
Graphics
This isn’t the worst offerings for Wii yet as the dragons are quite impressive, but it’s down there in terms of overall look.
5.5
Sound
Nothing extremely exciting here, but the sounds do fit most of the time when presented.
2.0
Replay Value
Please don’t make me replay this. Honestly though players can go through to get 100% on everything collected and broken which may present a fun challenge for some.
4.6
Overall
I’m sorely disappointed in this as it was one of the games I saw at E3 that I thought would be great fun with a bit of polish. It’s too bad the developer, Land Ho!, didn’t follow up and provide it.
