Many children’s games generally are attached to popular franchises and thus tend to carry with them a bad stigma.  This is due to sloppy ports or a quick cash-in effort by developers.  Among the vast sea of mediocrity, however, floats Crayola Treasure Adventures.  Is this a treasure worth bringing aboard?

Our Rating for Review: Crayola Treasure Adventures
8.4
Single Player
For the audience, it provides great interaction, if a bit short.
0.1
Multiplayer
N/A
8.0
Controls
Using the touch screen is wonderful, except in pictures you’re trying to color in with a bit of detail.
8.0
Graphics
Great scenery throughout the game and a palette worthy of the Crayola name.
8.2
Sound
Nothing too spectacular, but fits in to all the given situations. Bonus points for including a mute music option.
8.3
Replay Value
It’s a coloring book, however no plain canvas or save feature ding the game.
8.1
Overall
A great game for young children just starting off with a DS, even with the minor flaws.
