Horse Life if you couldn’t tell by the title is a horse simulator of sorts. You are the owner of a horse of your choosing that your Grandfather, who has a striking resemblance to Sean Connery, has given you. Three breeds are available in the beginning, with one unlockable breed when you get far enough along. Although color choices for certain breeds are given, there really isn’t tons to play with if you want your own custom horse. When given the horse, your Grandfather will walk you through basics of horse care and what there is to do in the game. He’ll also tell you that you get 4 activities for the day which is moderately important if you want to get things done.
Your goal in the game is to take care of your horse while winning various events. In order to open events for you and your horse to compete in, you’ll need to train for diplomas. Each diploma has a set number of movements for you to learn and practice. Practice can be frustrating at times due to the unforgiving nature of the activity if you make even one mistake. This is a minor complaint, but doesn’t make much sense since the actual events are much more forgiving and don’t make you start from the beginning. The events themselves have variety, except from the competition who seem to repeat themselves like a broken record when you’ve won a competition. Not that you get to see them perform, but a change in rivals would have been a nice touch. To keep winning, you’ll need to maintain your horse otherwise you won’t do as well as you could.
