Simply put, Corruption is exactly what gamers have been waiting for. It’s clear that Retro Studios has gone the extra mile for this final entry in the Metroid Prime series; the meat of the game is brilliant, of course, but their attention to detail is really what makes the title shine. If you’re a Metroid Prime veteran, you’ll find plenty more of the same goodness, with some enjoyable improvements; if you’re new to the series, this is a fine place to start. You may miss a tiny bit of the story behind the Phazon, but it won’t affect your game too much.

A word of warning, however: if casual gaming is more your thing, like Wii Sports or Big Brain Academy, then you should probably rent before you buy. This is definitely a game made for gamers, and good puzzle-solving skills, battle skills, and a lot of perseverance and dedication are necessary to really enjoy Corruption. If you’re still interested, read on to find out what makes this game so great.

Our Rating for Review: Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
9.2

A lengthy, mostly satisfying single-player adventure mode, with only a few annoying bits such as a fetch quest.
0.1

N/A
9.5

Customizable to your preference, though to be honest, there’s only one really effective control scheme, but it’s golden.
9.1

Corruption pushes the Wii to its limit, with great art direction and detail.
9.4
Overall
Corruption gets many things right and few things wrong, and is a great example of polishing a good game to a mirror shine.
