As far as customization in the game goes, it’s pretty much non-existent from all my playing. Sure, you can buy new outfits and saddles for your rider, but the selection is extremely limited and can be pricey. After reaching the so called end of the game (the game has no ending that I’ve seen) I still need to raise more money to buy most of the outfits available. Thankfully items you really need such as feed tend to be priced fairly.

Overall I really did enjoy this game. Even though some graphic glitches and game play irritations remained from the preview, they are minor and don’t detract from the game too much. Even with the stale dialog, it’s fun to finish events and go for the gold. So I give Horse Life a Yay! as it’s one of the best horse simulators available on the DS currently.
