From what I’ve read of your work, you are an amazing writer. As far as your artwork, they seem so much more than high school doodles. You have some real talent and I’m sure you’ll work out how to use it wisely. You’re already on your way to achieving more than a lot of people, don’t stress too much, you’ve got some time to work your shit out.
Stop beating yourself so hard. If your story is so meh then why the fuck am i waiting countlessly for the next fucking updates >__>
Seriously though, your drawings are really nice as well, not just "high school doodles." About your friends, you can still keep in contact with them via phone, email, aim, etc. My friend Edgar moved away 4 years ago and i still keep contact with him (and when the summer comes he’s gonna come here to hang out.) Whenever you take a vacation, you can go visit those friends and have a good time. Stick to the things you love and they’ll be there. You’re doing good RE, don’t forget that.
I felt the same way when I was upon graduation. But there is hope! Look out the window. See that little gleam in the sky? Yep, there it is. ;)
Don’t worry about your friends. All the friends I made in college I still am in contact with and a lot I see on a regular basis! I don’t know if a lot of your friends are in state or out of state but for me, the ones who moved away come back from time to time and when they come back, it’s great to get together! You’ll keep in contact through the internet and phone so don’t sweat that too much.
When you leave yes, it’s time for that job. Do you like (or tolerate) kids? Maybe think about a live in nanny. That way you get housing, you get paid and you have the entire day to work on The Testament until the kids get off from school.
About your book, I’m sure everyone here will say that they love it! I know I sure do! Your art work is great and the story is phenominal. If you are unhappy with the drawings, just keep refining them little by little. No drawing is good the first time. One day correct the eyes, next the landscape or so on. Pretty soon that book will be published and I’ll tell you one thing, I’d be the first to buy it and fly personally to have it signed.
Even the best writers have copy editors. Your work is far from bland, if it were so, people wouldnt’ read it.
You’ll find the time to write, if you love it. If it’s just something you’re doing to kill time, then maybe not.
I’m sure you’ll get things figured out in the end and I wish you luck towards that end.
