Well she said "good" friends, but still. And yeah. When I sent him a text back asking him why he felt so threatened and he said he wasn’t in the least. Then when I talked to her she said the same, saying he did not feel threatened by me or anyone.... so what the hell is the problem if not that?

Whatever. As much as I hate it all, you’re right. If she doesn’t care and can so easily just drop our friendship then whatever.

You’ve done all you can, don’t feel bad.  Others have done worse in your situation before.
