By advertising, do you mean putting ads on NGal, or buying ads for the site to put on other sites?

Cuz I mean honestly, if it would help, I’d be supportive of either of those options. Yeah, ads kind of suck, but they could be a necessary evil.

And we’ll get more support from publishers and probably even Nintendo if we can get more people to the site.

So maybe you should take Jon’s advice?

Just keep up the solid writing. Original content is what’s important, since most "news" posts at other sites are just all recycled from everywhere else. Original content will bring the eyeballs.

I will never have ads on the site, just a personal thing.  So yeah looking at putting NG ads elsewhere.

Original content doesn’t always win new viewers though.  We’ve had some articles no one else had and they still aren’t banging down the door to NG.

Well, assuming the ads aren’t too costly, I might try it. I don’t know where you could advertise though.

Oh, and don’t worry too much about attracting the wrong kind of people. That’s what the ban hammer is for. :3
