I mean, of course I’m excited for Animal Crossing, but we all already knew about that. The new Wii sports looks fun, but it’s hardly the new Mario or Zelda people were hoping for. I mean what the hell, they didn’t even announce a new Mario PARTY.
They said they would focus on hardcore gamers this year, but they disappointed on just about all fronts. No hard drive, even.
Bah.
Maybe they’ll be some new announcement later in the show, like tomorrow or something. That’s what they did with Brawl, after all.
*sigh*

Maybe, there is always hope. Bah, I wish I could have seen this disappoint myself. I was babysitting for my uncle though and didn’t realise Nintendo’s would be so early.

the conference was pretty pointless I mean most of those things are something that you announce in a press release not a big event like the E3

That made me laugh.
Can’t wait for Tokyo Game Show.

I have a question for Nintendo. Before the Wii came out, they were pretty vocal about including third parties more this time around. I guess they’ve done that somewhat, but I still feel the Wii game library is pretty lacking, and I think more third party games would fill it out a bit. And at the same time appeal to hardcore gamers.
Am I right, or wrong here?

From this briefing I get the feeling what core really means is Nintendo fan. Not hardcore, not anything else.
Personally I wasn’t surprised by anything except the Guitar Hero DS sequel. I know Activiblizz wants to make the bucks, but I didn’t think they’d announce a new game so soon.
I also wasn’t disappointed by the briefing. Why? Honestly do you expect Nintendo to announce something huge when they don’t need to at the moment? Before you answer that, separate out your want for their games. OK so the answer is no. With their current sales (IE Wii/DS prints money) they don’t need to do anything. If anything, this conference is right on the money on what they needed to do. With the Wii Sports Resort, they’re trying to expand that market they grabbed with Wii Sports. Or they’re cashing in on it and making more money. Or they’re doing both. Either way.

First of all, yes the thing wa disappointing, but all of you should be looking forward to 1-to-1 saber fights. That’s basically what we’ve been crying out for on the Wii since the concept was unveiled. What we were originally hoping for way back when Red Steel was announced.
The conference WAS crap, but it wasn’t solely without merit.

Well yea, it wasn’t without merit. Like I said, I can’t wait for Animal Crossing. It’s just that everyone was expecting (and hoping for) some big surprise, and none came

IMO this E3 went like this:
Sony > Microsoft > Nintendo
Microsoft was only good for FFXIII. Sony had GoWIII and some other intriguing titles.
Now I can wipe my tears for Sony. =)

If we’re judging on winning, what criteria are we using?
If it’s announcements it should go:
Microsoft > Nintendo > Sony
Microsoft not only pulled the moneyhat on Squeenix, they also got the Netflix agreement which trumps the little 85 movies Sony announced they have for their service.
I put Nintendo in the middle due to the fact they had more real new announcements than Sony that I can really think of. All Sony seemed to have is flashy footage and no solid release dates.
If it’s on an overall scale I feel:
MS > Sony
Nintendo
Nintendo isn’t in the same league with the other two so that’s why it’s not ranked with them. ;p
