Sony mostly had stuff that they’ve been showing for a while now, and multiplatform games. The GoW 3 showing was nothing but a brief teaser, and everyone knew it was coming anyway.

Microsoft was the only press conference that had surprises.

I’ve just finished getting updated on everything.  Looks like it’s gonna be a slow gaming year for me.  Guess I should find some other reason to piss away my money.

You know the thought occured to me - if they had just saved the Chrono Trigger DS announcement until the press conference, all the fanboys probably would have been so excited about that the rest of the show wouldn’t have mattered.

But anyway, the more I think about it, the more the conference made perfect sense for Nintendo. They’re making so much money in the casual market, why wouldn’t they continue to make casual games? I think part of the problem is that fanboys seem to think of Nintendo as more than a company. They almost see it like a friend or something.. but Nintendo IS a company, and they want to make money.

I’m still disappointed, but I’m not angry.

I don’t think a simple port with extra features will spark lots of hype. >_>

For a Crono game?

It wouldn’t be massive, but it would stop people from saying it was a bad show.

Yeah, I’ve seen enough people drooling over it already to know that it would have helped.

Also, has anybody said whether this new Wii Remote deal will be used in The Force Unleashed? I had been kinda worried about how well the light saber stuff would work with it, but if this new thing really makes it better then it could be awesome.
