During last year’s baseball season, Nintendo tried out its Nintendo Fan Network at Safeco Field, home of the Nintendo-owned Seattle Mariners; for a small fee, Nintendo DS owners could connect to the network and view player stats, watch the video feed of the game, chat with fans, see scores of other games, answer trivia, and even order food to be delivered to their seat. This year, however, Nintendo is not only stepping the service up a notch with new features, but the service will be free to all DS owners. There are download kiosks near sections 127 and 143, as well as other locations throughout the park; DS Lites are also available for purchase in the stadium. Nintendo notes that they are constantly adding new features.
I always thought this was a very cool service, and a very unique idea; I’m glad to see it get the free treatment, as well as the upgrade.
