Skate It Rolls To DS And Wii
Posted by The Sound Defense, 100 days ago May 14, 2008 21:42

After the success of skate, EA’s answer to the Tony Hawk series, EA announced that it will be bringing Skate It to the Nintendo DS and Wii. EA will be adapting its "Flick It" control scheme for the two Nintendo systems; the Nintendo DS will flick utilizing its touch screen, and the motion-sensitive controls of the Wii Remote will power the console version. In addition, Wii gamers who have a Wii Balance Board, which will be shipped with Wii Fit, will be able to utilize that to play Skate It, as the game reacts to the moves your feet make. Skate It is scheduled for a 2008 release and has no rating as of yet.

The original skate, while a bit difficult to get used to, was still amazingly fun for me, and I can’t wait to see what happens with these versions. Whatever people say about EA, they have really bought into the Nintendo Wii and its controls, and it’s paying off for gamers.
