Hudson has announced their "Shoot First, Win Prizes Later" contest for their WiiWare title Star Soldier R, which will take place for US audiences. To enter, register at the contest website, then give it your all in 5-minute mode in Star Soldier R. If you get the #1 (for obvious reasons), #10 (because R is the 10th Star Soldier title), or #16 (because Hudson employee Takahashi Meijin can hit the trigger 16 times per second), you’ll win a prize, and the other people in the top 16 are eligible to be drawn for a prize of 2,000 Wii Points ($20). The #1 scorer will win "Hudson’s Top 5 Wii Games" and 16,000 Wii Points ($160); the #10 scorer gets 10,000 Wii Points ($100), and the #16 scorer gets 4,000 Wii Points ($40). All the instructions for entering are available on the website, and the contest ends at 7:00 pm PST on June 24, 2008.
Holy cow, 16 presses in one second is insanely fast. Is that with just one finger? Anyway, that aside, this is a pretty interesting incentive to get people to download a $8 game.
