Earlier today, in anticipation of their press conference tomorrow, Nintendo announced the new MotionPlus attachment for the Wii Remote. This add-on increases the sensitivity of the Wii Remote’s motion detection, allowing for "more comprehensive tracking of a player’s arm position and orientation"; Nintendo’s press release states that this will allow for true one-to-one motion detection. Methinks there’s only one practical application for the MotionPlus - hardcore action gaming.
