WiiWare: Wild West Guns, 1,000 Wii Points

This Western-based title is a light gun shooter in the vein of titles like Ghost Squad. As you move through your environment, look carefully for items that may give you more points and better combos, to get the highest score possible as you play through six levels on one of two difficulty levels. Each level consists of three challenges.

Master System: Sonic the Hedgehog, 500 Wii Points

This version of Sonic the Hedgehog’s first outing is thankfully not a mere port, but has entirely reworked levels and some new mechanics. Race through the six stages looking for Chaos Emeralds hidden within each one (the special stages now give you rings and such instead). Careful, though, as you can’t get back rings you drop. It may not have Blast Processing, but this is still Sonic the Hedgehog.

Genesis: Splatterhouse 2, 800 Wii Points

The sequel to the original Splatterhouse, also available, has Rick encountering the Terror Mask once again in the hopes of finding Jennifer and bringing her back from wherever she may be. The gameplay hasn’t changed since the original game, so if you’re looking for more maiming villains and monstrous bosses, here’s your fix.

Three completely different games were announced to be released today, and we didn’t see any. This bodes... not well, I suppose.
