Nintendo announced yesterday that a new color of DS Lite will be offered.  The new color, Metallic Silver, will also be featured in new advertisements with movie actress Liv Tyler.

This new color will be released on September 7th and retail for the usual $129.99.  No word yet on the quality of the screens used in this model.

Personally I’m not a fan of the silver/platinum look, so I think I’ll be passing for now.
