Steven Spielberg and Electronic Arts today unveiled their new Wii game, Boom Blox. The game was originally announced during E3 last summer, but without an official name.
In this physics-based puzzler players must destroy 300 levels of bricks while dealing with wacky obstacles like brick-laying chickens. Multiplayer and a level editor are included.
"My inspiration for this game came while I was playing the Wii for the first time," says Spielberg. "From the initial concept to what the game is today, it’s always been built around the innovations the Wii brings to playing games. Boom Blox plays on the enjoyment of building and knocking down blocks, something that can appeal innately to kids and adults of all ages."
Boom Blox explodes onto the Wii this May.
