WiiWare: Space Invaders Get Even, 500 Wii Points
The Space Invaders are sick of being blasted out of the sky by Earth’s defenses; time to take control of a UFO and do some blasting of your own. You’re given control of the UFO and a small fleet of spaceships; use your five attack types to lay waste to the planet before taking on a huge boss at the end of each stage. You can also upload your best scores to online leaderboards.
This title also contains options for downloadable content. The "Stages 2 & 3 Pack", "Stages 4 & 5 Pack", and "Stages 6 & 7 Pack" are all downloadable for an additional 500 Points each.
WiiWare: Pit Crew Panic!, 800 Wii Points
This game, as you may suspect, places you in the shoes of a racetrack pit crew, tasked not only with tuning up cars, but with fixing up the various Whatsits that will stop in for a quick fix. Playing with up to four players competitively or cooperatively, you’ll use your Wii Remote to direct your crew members to certain parts of the thing to be repaired, in order to maximize efficiency.
Neo Geo: Metal Slug 2, 900 Wii Points
This sequel to the original keeps the same basic gameplay, but throws in some new additions. In addition to a new arsenal, including things like lasers and machine guns, you’ll notice some other odd effects of the battle; for example, if your character eats up a lot of food, they’ll grow fat, which leads to an increase in attack strength. As always, this title allows for two-player co-op play.
Both WiiWare games have the potential to be a lot of fun in my eyes, if the developers put enough effort into developing them. I am concerned, however, with the thought that SIGE is being offered as an incomplete game, if "Stage 2" is downloadable content.
