Nintendo today officially set the release date for Mario Kart Wii to April 27th in the US.  Europeans will see a release 16 days earlier when it becomes available on April 11th.

The company also confirmed that the Wii Wheel will also be available separately so all players can experience the feel.

Yes, I’m so looking forward to holding another chunk of plastic up in the air, much like the Ubisoft one that is currently in my closet gathering dust.  Honestly though I’m glad there will be different control options for this game so that everyone can feel comfortable.
