The most recent Nintendo Power (May 2008, V228) features an exposé on, among other games, Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2 for the Nintendo DS. Players will once again pick up the scalpel of Derek Stiles, aided by nurse Angie Thompson; other new and old characters are supposed to make appearances in this game as well. This game will feature new operations, improved tool functionality (whether or not there will be new tools is unconfirmed), and a new story exploring the aftermath of the GUILT virus. There are supposed to be no major gameplay changes, but there is an easier difficulty setting, to make the game more accessible. Expect to see Under the Knife 2 this summer.

I was hoping this game would come back to the Nintendo DS; it’s hard to replace the tactile feel of touching a screen with your stylus for a surgery game such as this. Plus, precision is important.
